STEM103: AMC (American Mathematics Contest) 10

Course Description

####### This course will be taught by Rolex Rao, a 20+ year veteran instructor from California. He has over ten years of overall teaching experience, and over six years of SAT I Math and SAT Math IIC instruction and individual/group tutoring. He has helped students of various backgrounds achieve perfect scores on both the SAT and the AP exams. He holds a M.S. in Physics from University of Utah and a B.S. in Physics from Beijing University. He has over seven years of research experience at UC Berkeley, in addition to several years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and optical communication industries. He has extensive experience tutoring Honors and AP Chemistry, AP Physics B/C, AP Calculus AB/BC, and other various SAT II subjects.####### No classes on the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year The AMC 10 and AMC 12 are both 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examinations in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The AMC 10 is for students in 10th grade and below, and covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade. Students in grade 10 or below and under 17.5 years of age on the day of the contest can take the AMC 10. The AMC 12 covers the entire high school curriculum including trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry, but excluding calculus. Students in grade 12 or below and under 19.5 years of age on the day of the contest can take the AMC 12.
