CS103: Intro to Game Design with Minecraft
Minecraft is a 2011 sandbox video game created by Swedish game developer Markus Persson and later developed by Mojang. The game allows players to build with a variety of different blocks in a 3D procedurally generated world, requiring creativity from players. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. Coding with blocks or text, MakeCode teaches the basics of programming languages, including variables, control flow, if statements, loops and functions. ... Instead of thinking they are coding, students are playing a game, they are building their next superpower. Minecraft requires critical thinking and creativity throughout the game. Students will learn how to think logically by creating devices and logic gates using computer craft. Students will have fun and learn the basics of Lua scripting at the same time! Scripting is an easier way of learning coding concepts such as variables, control and loops.
Create basic logic gates
